BoxFit

BoxFit is a low impact, high-energy workout that incorporates solid pad work, weight training and conditioning, functional and circuit training with an emphasis placed on boxing.

Regular Pilates practise can help improve posture, muscle tone, balance and joint mobility, as well as relieve stress and tension.

PILATES for Lower Back Ache - an 8 week course at Hands On

8 week initial course (Mondays at 7pm)

An enjoyable and informative workshop where you will learn the fundamental toolkit to achieve dynamic core strength and stability.  Very small class sizes allow loads of individual tuition and correction to ensure you leave the course confident in being able to correctly engage your core in a wide range of daily activities.

8 week Improvers Course (Thursdays at 7pm)

Follows on from the initial course, building on the fundamental elements learned.  We use your core control toolkit in many and varied ways to challenge your ability to stabilize in a variety of functional activities.  Each class stands alone and once the initial course is completed, you can drop in and out.  The structure of the class is designed to give you a well-rounded and fun class, allowing you to play with those hard earned elements from the beginners course.


 

 

Qigong: Baduanjin (八段錦)

Qigong Baduanjin (八段錦)is one of the most common forms of Chinese Qigong exercises. It is broken down into eight separate exercises, each focusing on a different physical area and qi meridian. It's a powerful health exercise and ultra relaxing with soft and gentle movements. Qigong cleverly increases energy levels at the same time as relaxing and focussing the mind, busting those stress levels.

Your tutor Hin Ho Li has practiced Ving Tsun (詠春) Kung Fu alongside Qigong for over 15 years, making him a highly able teacher in the UK. He says he has particular success with office workers or people who suffer from lots of stress.

Who can do it? This is one of the few forms of Qigong that is suitable for everybody: it can be done as a stand-alone exercise, a rehab exercise for those who are injured, or it can be done as a warm-up for professional athletes.
